Current Facility - rusting equipment

The current pool is nearly forty years old and has reached a critical point. In order to offer the programs that the community has come to appreciate, to keep up with current health code and to be compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements, city staff has proposed a new facility with modern technology. The design selected by focus groups includes a main pool and a programming pool.

On June 11, 2019, Boulder City Voters will face two questions regarding a new aquatic center:

1. Do you approve the City spending $5 million dollars from the Capital Improvement Fund to design and construct a new aquatic center, reducing the bond obligation (the amount of bonds needed for the project)?

2. Do you approve the City issue up to $40 million in bonds to design and construct a new aquatic center?
