Advisory Boards & Commissions
The citizens of Boulder City play an active role in City government by serving on various committees and commissions. We invite all residents to consider the possibility of serving the community by participating and making recommendations regarding the future of Boulder City.
In order to be considered, a Volunteer Data Sheet must be completed and submitted to the City Clerk’s office. You may print out the form by clicking here,

The City Clerk’s office will notify volunteers when a vacancy occurs. For those who are still interested, their applications will be forwarded to the City Council for possible appointment at a City Council meeting. Appointees will be notified by the City Clerk’s office.
Airport Advisory Committee (4 year terms)
Advises the City Council and City Manager on matters concerning the Master Plan, Rules and Regulations, and maintenance of the Boulder City Municipal Airport.
Meets the first Tuesday of the month at 6:00 p.m. in Council Chambers.
Allotment Committee (2 year terms)
Committee created by Growth Control Ordinance to rate requests for allotments.
Meets the last Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in Council Chambers.
 
Charter Commission (3 year terms)
Advises City Council on all matters affecting the official Charter of Boulder City, Nevada, including amendments.
Meets as needed the first Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m.
Civil Service Commission (3 year terms)
Prepares and adopts rules and regulations to govern the selection and appointment of all employees of the City within the provisions of Article VII of the City Charter.
Meets the second Wednesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. in the Large Conference room.
Combined Board of Appeals (4 year terms)
Provides final interpretations on the provisions of the technical codes and determine the suitability of alternate building materials and methods of construction.
Meets as needed.
Golf Course Green Committee (2 year terms)
Advises the City Council, Parks and Recreation Commission, Parks and Recreation Director and City Manager on matters concerning the playability of the Boulder City Golf Course
Meets the second Wednesday of every other month at 1:00 p.m. in large conference room at City Hall.
Historic Preservation Committee (4 year terms)
Advises the Planning Commission and City Council to aid property owners in maintaining and enhancing the worthwhile historical resources of Boulder City.
Meets the fourth Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in the large conference room.
Parks and Recreation Commission (4 year terms)
Acts in an advisory capacity to the City Council, Planning Commission, City Manager and Parks and Recreation Director on all matters concerning recreation and parks within the city limits
Meets the fourth Monday of the month at 4:30 p.m. in Council Chambers.
Planning Commission (4 year terms)
Conducts public hearings and makes determinations on matters pertaining to the zoning ordinance. Provides recommendations to the City Council on planning and zoning issues.
As per Title 3, Chapter 4 of the City Code, Planning Commissioner’s may not hold any other public office (serve on any other committees).
Meets the third Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in Council Chambers.
