2008 National Night Out
The 25th Annual National Night Out, a crime and drug prevention event
sponsored by the Boulder City Police Department in conjunction with
the National Association of Town Watch, is scheduled for Tuesday,
August 5, 2008 at 6 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park. The police
department cordially invites the entire community to be a part of
the evening’s festivities.
A highlight of the evening, based on the experience of the past few years, will once again be the police department vs. fire department softball game. If you haven’t experienced this fine example of talent and prowess, don’t miss it this year. The game generally begins between 6:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. Food for the event will be available from Events Unlimited, and there will be giveaway bags for the kids. Youngsters will also be able to have their picture taken with a police car and/or police motorcycle. National Night Out has proven to be an effective and enjoyable way to promote community spirit and police-citizen partnerships in the fight for a safer community. This year’s event is sponsored by the Boulder City PD, the BC Citizens Academy Alumni Association, the BC PD’s Police Protective Association and City Attorney Dave Olsen.
