Reporting A Problem

Power Interruptions:


The City maintains 300 miles of distribution lines and 6 substations. Power interruptions can be reported Monday through Thursday (excluding holidays) from 6:30AM to 5:00PM by calling
293-9266. Interruptions in service occuring outside of the City's regular business hours should be reported to the Police Department at 293-9224.

Streetlight Repair:


The City maintains more than 1,200 streetlights.
Please try to obtain the "pole number" from the streetlight before reporting to the City. (The pole number is generally located on the side of the pole facing the street.) In absence of the pole number, please provide a street address. Allow two weeks for the repair to be made. Click on the links below to report a streetlight problem:

Street, Sidewalk or Channel Repairs:

The City maintains 81 miles of streets, 130 miles of sidewalk, 7 miles of concrete drainage channels and 3 miles of earth channel. The Engineering Division prepares a current inventory of the City's roadways and their conditions. The City has ongoing street maintenance programs including crack seal, fog seal and slurry seal in addition to an annual pavement reconstruction program. The Streets Division also installs signage and coordinates pavement marking. Click on the links below to report a street or sidewalk problem.  Serious problems or traffic safety concerns occuring outside of the City's regular business hours should be reported to the Police Department at 293-9224 so maintenance crews can be dispatched to the scene.

Water and Sewer:

The City maintains water systems, sewer systems, wastewater treatment plant, irrigation to City facilities, plumbing to City buildings and raw water systems. Water systems include reservoirs, pump stations, pressure-reducing systems, including mains.
