Mounted Police Unit (MPU) is comprised of full time and Reserve Police Officers and they are tasked with patrolling special events, the downtown area, city parks, and quality of life enforcement in the desert areas. The MPU also assists the Las Vegas Metro Mounted Unit for special events in Las Vegas.
