The Boulder Creek Golf Club, in Boulder City, is one of 12 courses in the nation chosen to host a PGA Jr. League Regional event this year.
At the local event, slated for September 14 and 15, four co-ed All-Star teams of junior golfers -- ages 13 and under -- will compete to earn a spot in the 2019 PGA Jr. League Championship presented by National Car Rental October 11-14 at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, AZ.
“The leadership and staff at Boulder Creek Golf Club continue to be innovative and welcoming in the great events and tournaments they offer,” said Al Noyola, City Manager. “Our community is fortunate to have such a great club right here in our backyard.”
PGA Jr. League brings boys and girls together to learn and play golf on co-ed teams with expert coaching from PGA and LPGA Professionals. Following the spring/summer season, 10-player All-Star teams are formed from a combination of players in each league. These teams move through Section Championships in August to earn a spot at one of 12 Regionals held across the country in September.
The Junior League event is open to the public and the course will remain open for public play during those two days.
