BOULDER CITY – The Boulder City building left vacant after the January 1, 2019 closing of the community’s only Burger King franchise, will be the new home of a Habaneros Taco Grill restaurant.
The building, at 1050 Nevada Way, is in the Joshua Tree Plaza, at the corner of Boulder City Parkway and Buchanan. This location will be the seventh restaurant for the company that started operations on April 15, 2015 on South Fort Apache Road in Las Vegas. There are three other locations in Las Vegas and one in Reno.
“We are happy to support business-attraction efforts that bring new businesses to the community,” explained Boulder City Economic Development Coordinator Raffi Festekjian. “We welcome Habaneros Taco Grill and wish them success as they occupy a prominent location at a community gateway.”
Habeneros’s company spokesperson said the goal is to have the restaurant open by the end of October and they are excited about bringing their brand of fresh Mexican cuisine to Boulder City. The spokesperson added that the company hopes to see visitors who live in Boulder City as well as the thousands of people who travel through our great community every day.
