BOULDER CITY – Tuesday, Boulder City officially welcomed three new firefighters. The firefighters were welcomed during a pinning ceremony on October 15, 2019 at Boulder City Fire Department. They will swear the Oath of Office before Boulder City’s City Council on October 22, 2019 at the regularly scheduled City Council meeting at 7 p.m.

ABOUT THE NEW FIREFIGHTERS:

Ryan Bodily was born and raised in the Bay Area and lived there until he moved to the Vegas Valley in 2000. He has been married to his wife for 17 years and they have four children (two boys and two girls).  Ryan has always been interested in the field of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and put himself through school, receiving his associates in Urban Fire Science from the College of Southern Nevada, while working to support his family and going to school at night. Ryan has worked in the field of EMS for six years and was one of the many brave first responders who responded during the Harvest Music Festival on October 1. Ryan has been with Boulder City Fire Department since 2018 as a Reserve.

Jason Dardano has been in Emergency Services since age 15 when he volunteered as an explorer with his local volunteer fire department in NY, responding to medical calls at 16. He became an EMT and interior firefighter at 18. He’s been involved in paramedic education internationally since 1997 and has had the honor to work in urban, suburban, extreme remote rural locations, SWAT, flight, and international settings as a firefighter and paramedic. After moving to Las Vegas in 2010, he applied to join the BCFD Reserve Program in 2016 and remained active in the program anticipating a potential full-time position with the department. Jason is married; he and his wife have two daughters.

Carl Ford was born and raised in Boulder City, NV, and lives here with his wife. He has experience as a Wildland Firefighter, including four years with Lake Mead National Park Service and with the Department of Energy at the Nevada National Security Site. He’s been a Boulder City Fire Reserve since 2015. “I am extremely honored to serve the community I was raised in and am looking forward to a long career as a Boulder City Firefighter,” Carl added.
