BOULDER CITY – Here is some news to bark about: Boulder City always ranks high in the dogged pursuit of being a great place to live…and now a recent study proves it. Boulder City is ranked one of the top destinations to visit with your dog by Reviews.com, a consumer advocacy organization.
The report ranked Boulder City 39th out of the 567 cities it studied for available dog-friendly activities and 60th overall. That puts Boulder City in the top 15-percent of all cities reviewed! Researchers from Reviews.com assessed data provided by TripAdvisor and Touropia to create the list. Communities are judged on a number of areas, such as:
- the number of dog parks, trails and nearby dog-friendly beaches;
- the amount of dog-friendly restaurants;
- options for dog-friendly lodging;
- availability of dog daycare; and
- availability of veterinarians or emergency pet clinics.
“Boulder City residents really love their pets,” said City Manager Al Noyola. “We see this in our parks and in neighbors’ yards, and we see it through the amazing support shown to the City Animal Shelter and the fantastic programs offered there. This recognition lets others know that this community truly cares about its quality of life and we are honored and excited to receive it.”
