- Breaking the Cycle Recovery Court
The Breaking the Cycle Recovery Court Progam was created to provide intervention, treatment and rehabilitation to misdemeanor criminal offenders that suffer from alcohol or chemical dependency.
This is a rigorous program, 15-24 months in length. The program gives offenders an opportunity to gain back control of their lives though participation in counseling, classes, random urinalysis testing and supervision.
By working with the treatment provider, Drug Court Team, and the Alternative Sentencing Marshals, offenders will make positive changes in their lives if they stay committed to the program.
The offender must want to be in the program. The first step is admitting, "I have a problem," and take the necessary steps to change their lifestyle, how they think and how they feel about themselves.
The Drug Court team includes Judge Victor L. Miller, Court Appointed Counsel, Boulder City Municipal Court Clerks and Administration, Boulder City Municipal Court Marshals, and local treatment providers. With thanks for financial support from the Boulder City Sunrise Rotary, and the City of Boulder City.
